		<description>While outlining the action taken by the G-5 nations towards readjustment of exchange rates after their historic meet in 1985 ( chapter on WORLD TRADE), the author says                  “ …after central banks of the G-5 nations intervened by selling other currencies to lower the value of the dollar, the yen zoomed…”. This sounds confusing to me! Selling other currencies by central banks would lead to a decrease in their value. How would that lead to lowering of the value of dollar? One feels the words “selling other currencies” have been inadvertently used in place of “selling dollars”, or that, “selling other currencies” are used in place of “buying other currencies”. 
I would invite comments on my above observation</description>
